Yogyakarta - Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Jilin Animation Institute (JAI), China. This cooperation includes the exchange of lecturers and students, as well as various academic and professional activities in the fields of art, design and animation.
Jilin Animation Institute (JAI) is a private college in Changchun, Jilin, China, founded in 2000. JAI became the first college in China to focus on animation and games. The institute has various schools covering the fields of art animation, animation industry, comics, games, design, film, film technology, virtual reality, creative industry, and civil aviation.
As one of the leading institutions in its field, JAI has produced many quality graduates in the animation and game industry. Through this collaboration, ISI Yogyakarta hopes to broaden the horizons of students and lecturers in the field of digital arts and strengthen global connections in the world of creative industries.
As part of the effort to strengthen academic relations, JAI will also hold the "Enjoy the Fun of Game Major, Feel the Charm of Chinese Culture - 2025 Jilin Animation Institute Summer Camp" program in 2025. The program aims to deepen students' understanding of Chinese culture as well as provide professional experience in the field of games. Registration for the program is open until April 5, 2025, with the stipulation that the program will run if there are at least 10 participants from all partner institutions.
