"Overseas Immersion Program", an international collaboration between Nanyang Academy of Fine Art (NAFA) Singapore and the Department of Art Management - Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta.

In the context of academic development, the Art Management Department of Nanyang Academy of Fine Art (NAFA) Singapore and the Department of Art Management - Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta agreed to collaborate. The aim is to conduct comparative studies for students and lecturers. As well as an effort to develop teaching and learning and research in the field of art management studies in the future.

For NAFA Singapore this is the first collaboration with the Department of Arts Management ISI Yogyakarta. This partnership is an effort to get to know each other and develop the field of art management studies, both in performing and visual arts, from traditional, modern to contemporary. For this reason, NAFA Singapore and ISI Yogyakarta created an activity entitled "Overseas Immersion Program", as a model to bring students and lecturers closer together.

In this program, a number of agendas were held, including: archive curation workshop, mural collaboration, sharing lecture with a number of expert speakers from Indonesia and Singapore, and visits to several artists' studios and exhibitions/art shows in Yogyakarta. In particular, the students were invited to conduct a workshop on archival exhibition of Indonesian & Singaporean art history that will be presented in a hybrid manner, either online or offline. Visits to Artjog exhibition, Papermoon Puppet Studio, Borobudur, and batik workshop at Omah Budoyo Yogyakarta will be included in this agenda.

The cooperation between the two universities in Southeast Asia is certainly mutually beneficial. It is hoped that this agenda will become a broader international collaboration. Another hope is of course to bridge so that the culture of each country can be recognized and disseminated. To students and the younger generation, cultural development is passed on.
