Through the DAAD Online Info Session, scheduled to be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Western Indonesian Time (WIB), ISI Yogyakarta is opening opportunities for students, alumni, lecturers, and academic staff to gain direct information about further study, research, and scholarship opportunities in Germany.
The activity, conducted online via the DAAD Webex platform, is part of ISI Yogyakarta's efforts to expand access for its academic community to global higher education networks, while also strengthening academic and research capacity within the campus environment.
Through this information session, participants will receive a comprehensive presentation on Master's, Doctoral (PhD), and Postdoctoral Fellowship programs at various leading universities in Germany. Additionally, participants will gain strategic guidance on how to secure the DAAD Scholarship, one of the most prestigious international educational funding programs that annually supports thousands of students and researchers from various countries.
Yogyakarta Indonesian Arts Institute (ISI Yogyakarta) Rector, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., emphasized that strengthening international collaboration is an important part of ISI Yogyakarta's transformation into an art campus that is adaptive to global developments.
“Collaboration with DAAD opens up broader opportunities for the academic community at ISI Yogyakarta to access international education, research, and networks. We want to ensure that students, alumni, lecturers, and educational staff have equal opportunities to develop globally without abandoning the identity and strength of Indonesian art and culture,” he said.
According to Irwandi, strengthening international connectivity is one of the important strategies in improving the quality of higher art education as well as expanding ISI Yogyakarta's contribution to the global ecosystem of knowledge and creativity.
This event also features a sharing session from scholarship recipient alumni who have studied in Germany. Through this session, participants can gain a real picture of the selection process, academic experiences, campus life, and strategies for building an international career after completing their studies.
In a 60-minute event series, participants will attend an opening speech from an ISI Yogyakarta representative, presentations on study programs and DAAD scholarships, an alumni sharing session, an interactive Q&A, and a closing.
Cooperation with DAAD demonstrates the strengthening position of ISI Yogyakarta in building international networks with leading world educational and research funding institutions. As the world's largest academic exchange funding institution, DAAD plays a crucial role in promoting cross-border mobility for students, researchers, and academics.
For ISI Yogyakarta, this partnership not only opens opportunities for further study for academics but also strengthens cultural diplomacy through art education and research. This aligns with ISI Yogyakarta's vision to become a superior art higher education institution with global competitiveness, rooted in cultural values, and capable of making a real impact on society.
