Yogyakarta, April 21, 2026 — The Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta officially opened the Computer-Based Written Examination—National Selection Based on Test (UTBK-SNBT) 2026 as one of the implementation centers for the national selection for state higher education admission. This event, taking place from April 21-27, 2026, confirms ISI Yogyakarta's readiness to provide public educational services that are orderly, accountable, technology-based, and oriented towards quality service.

In this year's implementation, ISI Yogyakarta served 4,457 participants who took the exam in 13 sessions. This number demonstrates the public's great trust in ISI Yogyakarta, not only as a higher education institution in the arts that excels in scientific development, creation, and art studies, but also as a campus with strong governance capacity in supporting national education's strategic agenda.

As the UTBK-SNBT 2026 center, ISI Yogyakarta has prepared comprehensive supporting facilities and infrastructure, ranging from examination rooms, computer equipment, networks, monitoring systems, to technical and administrative support from the committee. The UTBK ISI Yogyakarta Center Secretariat is centralized at the Rectorate Building to serve as the information and coordination hub during the exam implementation. This readiness was not built instantly. Before the implementation began, ISI Yogyakarta participated in the 2026 UTBK-SNBT National Trial on April 2, 2026, as part of the system, infrastructure, and service verification stage. The series of preparations included server administrator scheduling, exam server installation, device configuration, local network assessment, participant and room data verification, and downloading exam packages per wave. This step reflects ISI Yogyakarta's seriousness in ensuring that the entire process runs according to national operational standards.

Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., emphasized that the implementation of UTBK-SNBT is part of the institution's responsibility in supporting the national higher education system while providing the best service to the community.

“The implementation of UTBK-SNBT 2026 at ISI Yogyakarta is a form of our commitment to providing quality, orderly, and integrity higher education admission selection services. We want to ensure that every participant has a safe and comfortable examination experience, supported by reliable infrastructure and responsive committee services,” he said.

Furthermore, the Rector emphasized that trust as the center of UTBK is not merely a technical responsibility, but also a reflection of ISI Yogyakarta's institutional capacity as an adaptive, professional state higher education institution for the arts, capable of actively contributing to national agendas. According to him, this momentum shows that art campuses have an increasingly strategic role, not only in the development of culture and art education, but also in strengthening modern, transparent, and competitive higher education public services.

The implementation of UTBK-SNBT 2026 also serves as an important moment for ISI Yogyakarta to solidify its position as a leading art higher education institution that continues to strengthen its governance, public services, and institutional readiness. The presence of thousands of participants from various regions is also a tangible indicator of the public's high trust in ISI Yogyakarta as an art campus that continues to grow, is open, and relevant to the needs of the times.

Through the implementation of UTBK-SNBT 2026, ISI Yogyakarta once again demonstrates that excellence in a higher education institution for the arts lies not only in academic and artistic achievements but also in its institutional capacity to provide inclusive, professional, and impactful educational services. This spirit aligns with ISI Yogyakarta's commitment to continuously strengthen the three pillars of higher education, institutional governance, and its strategic role in supporting the advancement of national education.
