UTBK-SNBT at ISI Yogyakarta Followed by More than 4000 Participants

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, UTBK-SNBT (Computer-Based Written Test - National Test-Based Selection) was held simultaneously nationwide throughout Indonesia. Hundreds of thousands of students across Indonesia will fight for a seat at the state university of their dreams.

Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta as one of the state universities is again trusted to be the organizer with UTBK Center code 364 ISI Yogyakarta.

ISI Yogyakarta Rector Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. hit the gong as a sign of the start of the UTBK-SNBT implementation at ISI Yogyakarta at 07.15 WIB at the ISI Yogyakarta Rectorate Building. The opening was attended by all levels of ISI Yogyakarta leadership including the Vice Chancellors, Deans, Heads of Institutions, Heads of Bureaus, and a number of committees.

Vice Rector I of ISI Yogyakarta Dr. Dewanto Sukistono, M.Sn. who also serves as Chairperson of the UTBK ISI Yogyakarta Committee reported that as many as 4,247 participants were scheduled to take part in UTBK-SNBT 2025 at the Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta Campus. There was an increase of around 5% from last year's participant data which was only 4,037 participants.

The implementation of UTBK 2025 this time is spread across 7 buildings throughout ISI Yogyakarta which in total utilizes 12 computer labs, the capacity of each computer lab in serving UTBK participants varies between 20 computers to 40 computers.

The implementation of UTBK-SNBT at ISI Yogyakarta is divided into sessions 1 to session 15. Each session was attended by at least 355 people, an increase from last year where each session could only be attended by 347 people.

Especially for UTBK-SNBT 2025 at ISI Yogyakarta, it will be held from Wednesday, April 23, 2025 to Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

All prospective students can choose up to 4 study program options, both undergraduate and applied undergraduate programs. The question material consists of four parts, namely the Scholastic Potential Test, Literacy Test in Indonesian, Literacy Test in English, and Mathematical Reasoning Test.

Every day there will be two test sessions. The morning session test will start exactly at 07.15 WIB until 10.30 WIB. While the afternoon session test will start exactly at 13.00 WIB and end at 16.15 WIB. Especially for Friday's test, the afternoon session will start at 13.45 WIB to accommodate Friday prayer times. All participants are expected to arrive early about one hour before the start of the test for the smooth implementation of the test.

The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, in his remarks, said that as the host ISI Yogyakarta would make every effort to maintain the smooth implementation of UTBK, both in terms of governance and security.

Each UTBK participant or prospective student will be supervised and checked by metaldetector to avoid cheating practices. Personal items belonging to test participants will be deposited in the waiting room of each computer lab so that participants will enter the computer lab in a sterile state only carrying the necessary documents such as Test Participant Identity Cards, KTP / SIM and diplomas, while stationery has been provided by the committee.

Each UTBK organizing committee will continue to be supervised by a monitoring and evaluation team that will ensure the implementation of UTBK 2025 with integrity.

This UTBK-SNBT is the second route of PTN entrance selection, after several months earlier the first route selection was held through the SNBP (National Achievement-based Selection).

Participants who do not pass UTBK-SNBT can still try their luck to register for the third selection path through the Independent Pathway. This year ISI Yogyakarta opens 24 S1 (undergraduate) study programs and also D4 (applied undergraduate) study programs spread across three faculties.

The following is a list of nine study programs in FSRD (Faculty of Fine Arts and Design) ISI Yogyakarta:

  1. S1 Visual Communication Design,
  2. S1 Interior Design,
  3. S1 Product Design,
  4. Bachelor of Fine Arts,
  5. Bachelor of Arts Management,
  6. S1 Art Conservation,
  7. S1 Craft,
  8. D4 Fashion Design Batik Craft,
  9. D4 Media Design.

FSP (Faculty of Performing Arts) currently has eleven study programs namely:

  1. S1 Dance,
  2. S1 Theater,
  3. S1 Performing Arts Education,
  4. Bachelor of Arts in Puppetry,
  5. S1 Karawitan,
  6. Bachelor of Ethnomusicology,
  7. S1 Music,
  8. Bachelor of Music Education,
  9. S1 Music Creation,
  10. D4 Music Presentation, and
  11. D4 Musical Theater.

Meanwhile, FSMR (Faculty of Recording Media Arts) currently has four study programs, namely:

  1. Bachelor of Photography,
  2. S1 Film-Television,
  3. D4 Film-Television Production, and
  4. D4 Animation.
