ISI Yogyakarta signed an MoU, MoA and IA with a university from Thailand, Bunditpatanasilpa Institute on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Meeting Room I, ISI Yogyakarta Rectorate Building. The signing of various cooperation documents with the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, Thailand is a form of ISI Yogyakarta's seriousness to increase world-class partners. With this effort, it is expected to be able to increase the value of the main performance index of ISI Yogyakarta.
At the signing of the MoU, ISI Yogyakarta was represented by Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. as Rector and the MoA was represented by Dr. I Nyoman Cau Arsana, M.Sn. as Dekana of the Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta. As for the signing of the IA, ISI Yogyakarta was represented by Drs. Joko Tri Laksono, M.A., M.M. from the Ethnomusicology study program, Dr. Rina Martiara, M.Hum from the Dance study program and Dr. Bayu Wijayanto, S.Sn., M.Sn. from the Karawitan study program.
After the signing of the cooperation document, delegates from the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute and the Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta held a Cultural Cross Performance. In this performance, the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute delegation performed traditional music from Thailand and the Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta performed one of Yogyakarta's traditional dances accompanied by karawitan or gameralan music.
