The Professional Certification Institute (LSP) of Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta once again shows its commitment in supporting students to obtain competency certificates. This certificate is proof that students are competent in their field of expertise. With 44 lecturers acting as assessors from three faculties (FSMR, FSP, and FSR), LSP ISI Yogyakarta strives to produce graduates who are superior, independent, reliable, and trusted, based on Pancasila.
One of the latest achievements of LSP ISI Yogyakarta is the addition and development of new competency schemes. Each new scheme submission must pass the witness stage, which is the first time witnessing the Competency Test of the proposed scheme. On Saturday, July 27, 2024, LSP ISI Yogyakarta held a witness for new schemes that include sound stylists, songwriters, music judges, music critics, musicians, and composers. This witness was witnessed by BNSP lead assessors, Robiatul Adawiyah and Kiki Akiyatul Muniroh.
This witness process is the last stage to obtain a technical competency scheme license in order to carry out certification. Before witnessing, LSP ISI Yogyakarta has conducted a full assessment or checking all documents that are required to obtain a scheme license on May 11, 2024.
This witness activity was also reviewed directly by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi. The event lasted for about six hours, starting from the LSP ISI Yogyakarta office on the 2nd floor of the concert hall building and continued with a review of the competency test process at TUK which is located at FSP ISI Yogyakarta. Competency test participants are FSP students who have interests and competencies in the field of the proposed scheme.
Vice Rector 1, Dr. Dewanto Sukistono, S.Sn., M.Sn., in his speech said that the certificate of competence is an important provision for students. "The competencies possessed by students must be officially recognized by the government through BNSP and recognized by related industries, so that students can enter their fields with diplomas and certificates of competence," he said. Director of LSP ISI Yogyakarta, Pamungkas Wahyu Setiyanto, S.Sn., M.Sn., added, "One of the tasks of LSP is to develop schemes. The schemes that have been submitted will soon be operated, and we encourage all fields of art competence at ISI Yogyakarta to submit other competency schemes so that they can be evenly distributed and utilized by students."
