ISI Yogyakarta Lecturer as Resource Person for Art Screen @Bitara Malaysia-Indonesia 2024

ISI Yogyakarta lecturers became resource persons for the Layar Seni @Bitara Malaysia-Indonesia 2024 which was held from May 29 to June 1, 2024 at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Indris, Malaysia. ISI Yogyakarta lecturers who became speakers for the activity included Dr. Y. Subowo, M.Sn., Aruman, S.Sn., M.A. and Edi Jatmiko, M.Sn. The three ISI Yogyakarta lecturers became panelists with Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Muhammad Zaffwan bin Idris from Fakulti Seni, Kelestarian dan Industrial Kreatif, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Indris, Malaysia.

On this occasion Aruman, S.Sn., M.A. delivered a presentation on wooden batik, Edi Jatmiko, M.Sn. delivered a presentation titled cobalorasi between art and design for regional branding development and Dr. Y. Subowo, M.Sn. delivered a presentation on spontaneity methods in performing arts. Not only as panelists, Dr. Y. Subowo, M.Sn. and Aruman, S.Sn. became resource persons for dance and batik workshops in order to enliven Layar Seni @Bitara Malaysia-Indonesia 2024.

Layar Seni @Bitara Malaysia-Indonesia 2024 contains various activities such as panel discussions on collaboration between art disciplines, workshops, dance performances and poetry readings. Layar Seni @Bitara Malaysia-Indonesia 2024 is a collaboration between the Cultural Center of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Indris (UPSI), Malaysia and ISI Yogyakarta. This activity is organized to continue to maintain traditional arts such as batik and traditional dance so that the younger generation will love it. In order to attract the younger generation, various dance performances were held at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Center (KLWTC).

By participating in Layar Seni @Bitara Malaysia-Indonesia 2024, it is hoped that it will open the way for study programs at ISI Yogyakarta to partner with study programs at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Indris. Thus this collaboration can increase the IKU of ISI Yogyakarta related to study programs that partner with international partners. In addition, this collaboration is expected to increase the popularity of ISI Yogyakarta at the national level so that it can increase ISI Yogyakarta's QS World Ranking for performing arts and visual arts subjects.
