ISI Yogyakarta students managed to get two champions in the XVII National Student Tilawatil Qur'an Competition held at Brawijaya University Malang, on November 3 to 10, 2023. Two representatives of ISI Yogyakarta, Maila Ariya Fainatita and Ahmad Labib Fikri Ash shidqy managed to get the 2nd Best Champion of Contemporary Calligraphy and the First Champion of Decorative Calligraphy at the XVII National Student Tilawatil Qur'an Competition.
Calligraphy is one of the competitions in the XVII National Student Tilawatil Qur'an Competition. In this branch, the contestants will write the beauty of the Qur'an by emphasizing the truth and beauty of the writing and highlighting the contemporary khath style combined with the painting branch with the nuances of the archipelago (local wisdom) or futuristic metaverse nuances.
The achievements of two ISI Yogyakarta representatives at the XVII National Student Qur'an Tilawatil Musabaqoh, extended the winning tradition at the event organized every two years by the National Achievement Center, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. Hopefully this tradition will continue and continue to motivate ISI Yogyakarta students to continue to excel.
