New students for the 2022/2023 academic year are obtained from the selection path, namely the National Selection for State Universities (SNMPTN), Joint Selection for State Universities (SBMPT), Independent Path Selection and Postgraduate Program Selection. Of all these pathways, if the data of applicants and acceptance are combined, overall it can be conveyed that the registrants at ISI Yogyakarta amounted to 9,603 and 1,362 students were accepted. The statement was made by the Assistant Rector I of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. St. Hanggar Budi Prasetya, M.Si., S.Sn. in the new student admission report for the 2022/2023 academic year.

The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. representing the Senate and all elements of leadership, as well as all ISI Yogyakarta academicians would like to welcome new students to the ISI Yogyakarta campus. The Open Senate Session with all its series of procedures is a sign of the acceptance of all of you as new students in all levels. The Chancellor also believes that students' careers in the arts must be built as early as possible along with the time you learn to forge knowledge, and while studying you must start fighting for independence so that you can become successful artists.
