Galeri R.J. Katamsi ISI Yogyakarta organized a workshop with the theme "Practical Approaches of the Disaster Management for the Artwork Collection at Visual Culture Museums" on July 26, 2022, at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. In this workshop, three speakers were presented, namely Dr. Ulrike Herbig (Vienna University of Technology) and Kartika Affandi and Dra. Selarti Venetsia Saraswati (Conservator of Affandi Museum Yogyakarta).
The speakers shared various knowledge on disaster management for art collections in museums. Dr. Ulrike Herbig delivered the material from the academic side while Kartika Affandi and Dra. Selarti Venetsia Saraswati from the practitioner side as managers of Affandi Museum. The combination of disaster management knowledge for art collections from academics and practitioners will further enrich workshop participants' knowledge of disaster management.
The disaster management workshop was attended by lecturers and students of ISI Yogyakarta, UGM Architecture students and Diponegoro University students. This workshop was organized in collaboration with ISI Yogyakarta, Vienna University of Technology and Affandi Museum Yogyakarta.
