ISI Yogyakarta in the transition era from pandemic to endemic will hold its 38th Anniversary with the theme "Excellence in Art for Life Recovery". ISI Yogyakarta's anniversary will be commemorated by organizing various activities such as national seminars, ISI Yogyakarta Open Senate Session, book launching, workshops, fashion shows and various performances. The anniversary celebration will be held from May to October 2022.
The anniversary celebration began in mid-May with the opening of the Drawing Exhibition "Ambabar Gambar" on May 19, 2022. This drawing exhibition will be held from May 19 to June 19, 2022, on the 3rd Floor, R.J. Katamsi Gallery ISI Yogyakarta. The celebration of the 38th Anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta will be officially opened with the implementation of the ISI Yogyakarta Open Senate Session on May 30, 2022, at the ISI Yogyakarta Concert Hall. In this Open Senate Session, there are two important agendas, namely the presentation of the ISI Yogyakarta Rector's Report for the 2021/2022 academic year and the Dies Scientific Speech which will be delivered by Dr. Sumbo Tinarbuka, M.Sn. from the S-1 Visual Communication Design Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta.
The 38th Anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta will also be commemorated by organizing a workshop Desing Thinking via Zoom on May 25, 2022, an international exhibition at the R.J. Katamasi Gallery ISI Yogyakarta on May 30 to June 30, 2022, an Art Management Seminar with the theme "Excise Duty for Artwork in Organizing Exhibitions" at the R.J. Gallery. Katamsi on June 2, 2022, Exhibition of Works by FSMR ISI Yogyakarta on June 20 to 27 at Pandeng Gallery FSMR ISI Yogyakarta, National Seminar "Excellence in Art for Life Recovery" on July 25, 2022, ROA Fashion Show in collaboration with Undergraduate Students of Fashion Design and Batik Work Class of 2020 with business and industry on August 27, 2022 and book launching on October 18, 2022. The performances held to enliven the celebration of the 38th Anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta include the Chamber Orchestra on June 16, 2022, the "IKASTISI" Performance on July 10, 2022, the Jogja International Jazz Camp Festival on July 13 to 17, 2022, the Puppet Theater Performance "Den Kisot" on July 17, 2022, the Nyawiji Makarti Performance on July 23, 2022 and the Orchestra Performance on July 26, 2022.
By organizing these various activities, it is hoped that it will be able to serve as a reminder and motivate the leadership and all ISI Yogyakarta academicians to be able to provide the best efforts for their beloved campus. Hopefully ISI Yogyakarta will be able to become a pioneer art college that optimizes the excellence of art for life recovery.
