The committee did not want to be outdone in inviting the dancers to take pictures, and finally the invited guests who were still sitting on chairs rushed "shocked" to come up to the ward and ask to take pictures with the dancers. Waahh I just squatted with difficulty, what is the recipe for the dancers' mothers to be able to do kayang movements? What is the average age of the dancers? Who was the meroda? Who did the coprol, is this the mother who split earlier? The Dingklik Sinden dancers, answered patiently to the onslaught of enthusiastic questions from the guests and the Darma Wanita Anniversary committee that afternoon.
The seven of us can only express our gratitude, that this "Community" of Dingklik Sinden Dance is still "needed" by the community until 2021. This "community" was born in 2014, around February when a student of the Dance Department of FSP ISI Yogyakarta, named Rusnanda, he had just won a dance competition between students in the third place position, a dance work entitled Dingklik Sinden. Nanda (as she is usually called) "challenged" her lecturer mother Daruni (Uni Yutta), "mom, do the lecturers dare to dance my dance? ", at that time Uni Yutta was a little hesitant and thought for a moment then answered "is it possible that the choreography is slightly adjusted?", Nanda immediately agreed, as quickly as lightning Uni Yutta went to the Dance Department lecturer room and said in a loud voice "hello ladies, is there anyone who is willing to dance Nanda's Dingklik Sinden dance?", several lecturers in the room then reacted by raising their fingers while expressing their willingness to join, collected names, Setyastuti, M. Heni Winahyuningsih, Jiyu Wijayanti, MG. Sugiyarti, B. Sri Hanjati, Supriyanti, Erlina Pantja S, and of course Uni Yutta, eight lecturers are able to well plus Nanda then complete nine dancers ready to dance Dingklik Sinden.
The bright idea at that time was that this dance would be performed / registered as one of the performers at 24 Hours of Dancing / World Dance Day, Wold Dance Day organized by ISI Surakarta. The dancers practiced seriously trained by their own students, namely the dance stylist Nanda. On April 29, 2014, it was time for the performance, DS got the turn to perform at 22.00 at the Pendapa ISI Surakarta. Thousands of spectators screamed hysterically, "pating jlerit", thunderous excitement to see the mothers in the clothes, looking very Javanese, at the beginning very sweet turned out to be "ambyar", "pating penthalit", from the beginning to the end of the dance the audience clucked, clapping loudly. From there it began, this dance was in demand by the public, an honor "didhawuhi" dancing at the Jogja Semesta event up to three times, entertaining the birthday of Bp. Hermawan Kertajaya at Royal Ambarukmo, invited by Kemenparekraf at the Sapta Pesona building in Jakarta, ISI Yogyakarta Anniversary, HMJ Dance FSP ISI Yogyakarta Spectacular Dancing Shoes event, Dharma Wanita Anniversary, Mother's Day Commemoration of Dharma Wanita Prov DIY (two years in a row) Reunion of Dance Department FSP ISI Yogyakarta, Dimas Diajeng DIY Coronation Night, an event at Grha Saba, an event at the Sleman Dispar in the Sleman Regent's Pendapa, once also entertained, at an agency meeting at the Melia Hotel, also opened the Rakornas, Raker event held by the DIY Regional Government on the "Dhawuh" of Sultan HB X, at Grand Inna Garuda, Tentrem Hotel, also a Surabaya high school reunion, one of the participants was the former Vice President Mr. Try Sutrisno, also invited at AU Meguwo, once also an event. gathering Kemenparekraf in Prambanan, the furthest was being invited to Lombok by the Lombok Cultural Park and the Senggigi Festival. The incident still affected our psyches before going on stage, we all prayed for God's mercy, the worship of dancing to entertain others was accepted by the people of Lombok. Thank God we successfully danced to a positive reception. After we danced, it was the Regent's turn to give a speech "great dancers at their age can perform a dance that is captivating, energetic, agile, imagine when they are 25 years old, applause once again for the ladies from ISI Yogyakarta. "
Regarding the number of dancers and substitute dancers, in the beginning we were nine, and in some performances we danced eight, and most often seven. Our uniqueness is that eight or seven or 6 of the dancers are mothers over 50 years old, and one dancer is a substitute. sgender crosses. Some of the audience did not know that Nanda was a cross-gender dancer, Nanda's "portion" in this choreography was an attraction in itself, especially when she had a male voice in the final session, the audience "broke", because of the contrasting situation, a beautiful woman with a male voice. Some of the dancers who have been substitutes when Nanda could not are Raffi and Janihari Persada, several times there was one of the DS dancers who could not perform (including when Uni Yutta was assigned to SAME BIPA Seni Kemenristek in Osaka for 3 months, did not perform in Kota Lama Semarang and performed at the Adisucipto Air Force Base), then replaced by additional players Galih Suci Manganti (dancer member of Pragina Gong), Silvia Dewi, Chairunnisa and Arjuni. We feel that finding DS dancers is not easy, because the dance is special, it also requires special body intelligence, soulfulness, appreciation and expression, DS dance is also not taught in any studio, unlike if we want to perform Golek dance, Gambyong dance, and "general" dances that are taught in studios, it is easier to find. Additional dancers are sought who have danced in the past when performing in competition forums.
Choreographically this dance can be said to be a comical dance, a dance presented in groups of more than five people, dressed the same, telling the story of Sinden's life with all its ups and downs, competition between today's sinden and old school sinden. all expressed and wrapped in cheerful, funny, dynamic, interesting and acrobatic nuances. In some performances people are often confused by our appearance before dancing, our "standard" clothes are not too "gigging", they only understand that we are mothers who will dance if we have "action" on stage. Thankfully, at the age of "elderly", we are still allowed to perform the worship of entertaining and inspiring other mothers to keep moving, for the health of the body and soul, we should move, work, empower and cultivate.
