Scholarship

Scholarships are a form of assistance and appreciation to every student who has economic limitations, but has good academic and non-academic (extracurricular) achievements. The source of scholarship funds comes from the government through the Directorate General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and non-governmental organizations, such as foundations and domestic and foreign companies with certain requirements and nominal value and time.

Criteria

Criteria are needed to achieve objectivity, balance the number of students that should be accepted by each department, and a proportional approach to the quota set.

1.Parents' incomeIndicates the income level (salary/wages) of the parents. Low income is given a large score and vice versa 
2.Regional originIndicates the origin of the student, the more remote the student comes from the greater the score obtained and vice versa 
3.GPADescribes student achievement, high GPA will be given a large score and vice versa 
4.Parental burdenIndicates the level of parental dependence on the family burden, the greater the burden will be given a high score and vice versa. 

 

Scholarship Type

In order to support equitable and quality access to higher education, ISI Yogyakarta through the Student Welfare Division provides various information on scholarship programs that can be accessed by students. These scholarships come from the central government, local government, and private parties, with the main objective of helping students in financing education and increasing competence. The following is a list of available scholarships:

  1. KIP Lecture Scholarship (Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah)
    This scholarship is intended for prospective students who come from economically disadvantaged families but have good academic achievements. This program provides tuition assistance and living expenses during the study period at university.

  2. Indonesian Education Scholarship (BPI)
    Organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture through the Education Financing Service Center (Puslapdik), this scholarship provides opportunities for students to continue their education both at home and abroad, with coverage of S1, S2, and S3 levels.

  3. KJMU Scholarship (Jakarta Student Excellence Card)
    This is a scholarship from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government intended for students from Jakarta who excel and come from underprivileged families, to pursue education at domestic universities.

  4. Flagship Scholarship
    This scholarship program is also from the Ministry of Education and Culture and is intended for the nation's best children, including those who excel in academic and non-academic fields. Available for S1, S2, and S3 levels.

  5. Djarum Plus Scholarship
    This scholarship from Djarum Foundation not only provides education funds, but also soft skills provision such as leadership training, teamwork, communication, and others. It is intended for students of S1 and D4 programs from partner universities.

  6. Higher Education Affirmation Scholarship (ADik Scholarship)
    The program aims to improve access to higher education for marginalized groups such as Indigenous Papuans, children of Indonesian Migrant Workers, and people with disabilities. The scholarship covers tuition fees and living expenses.

  7. Jember Regent Scholarship
    This scholarship is intended for students who have Jember ID cards, both active students and new students, for D3, D4, and S1 levels. This program is a form of support from the local government of Jember Regency in the field of higher education.

  8. JPD PT Scholarship (Higher Education Regional Education Guarantee)
    Educational social assistance program from the Yogyakarta City Government through the Regional Education Guarantee Unit. This scholarship is intended for students from the city of Yogyakarta to help sustain their studies in higher education.

Scholarship Acceptance Process

The scholarship application activities are scheduled in an orderly manner so that the submission process for prospective scholarship recipients does not experience delays. If a student submits the proposal file late, the file will not be accepted. The scholarship application sequence is described in the following steps:

Monitoring and Evaluation

One month after the student is declared accepted as a scholarship recipient with clear evidence, an evaluation will then be carried out. If it turns out that the scholarship is not on target, the faculty can make improvements in the form of terminating the scholarship. This monitoring can be done through the ranks of student affairs /ormawa or on the advice of academic advisors. Evaluation of study performance is carried out at the end of the semester to assess the impact of scholarships on student achievement. The results of this evaluation will be taken into consideration for scholarship acceptance in the following year.

Scholarship Reimbursement

Students are declared terminated or dismissed as scholarship recipients if:

  1. passed away
  2. has completed the study (graduated) or expelled
  3. resign
  4. taking study leave, and
  5. do not fulfill the requirements set by the university and other laws and regulations or violate the applicable provisions.

Scholarship Reimbursement

The replacement of scholarship recipient students is based on the following considerations:

  1. Students declared graduated automatically have their scholarships terminated. The scholarship received will be transferred to other students in the same study program.
  2. Replacement of scholarship recipient students due to various reasons as mentioned above is done through the replacement proposal process.
  3. The replacement student will then be proposed to make a Rector's Decree.
