Yogyakarta, June 24, 2026 — The Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta is organizing the Internal Selection for the 2026 Student Digital Innovation Competition (LIDM) as a strategic step to scout the best student teams to represent the campus in the national selection. This event provides a space for ISI Yogyakarta students to develop creative and innovative ideas relevant to technology-based digital education needs.
LIDM 2026 is organized by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs in conjunction with the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. This competition aims to improve digital literacy, creativity, and innovation skills among students in designing digital learning media, methods, and technologies.
Through this internal selection, ISI Yogyakarta reaffirms its commitment as an art higher education institution that is not only strong in artistic creation but also adaptive to the developments of digital technology. The involvement of art students in LIDM is proof that creativity, aesthetic sensitivity, and artistic ability can play an important role in addressing the challenges of contemporary education.
At LIDM 2026, there are five divisions students can participate in: Educational Digital Technology Innovation (ITDP), Educational Digital Learning Innovation (IPDP), Educational Digital Microteaching (MDP), Educational Digital Video (VDP), and Educational Digital Poster (PDP). These five divisions offer broad opportunities for ISI Yogyakarta students to present works based on art, design, media, performance, and technology that have practical value for the world of education.
The internal selection for LIDM 2026 at ISI Yogyakarta will take place in several stages. Proposal and work creation will be held from June 19 to July 12, 2026. Registration and submission of proposals and works will be carried out from July 1 to July 12, 2026. Subsequently, the evaluation of proposals and works will take place from July 13 to July 14, 2026, followed by the announcement of participants who passed the internal selection on July 15, 2026. The qualified teams will receive mentoring from July 15 to July 19, 2026, for the refinement of proposals and works before submission to the national selection stage.

This selection is open exclusively to active undergraduate, applied bachelor's, and diploma three students of ISI Yogyakarta registered on the PDDikti page. Each team consists of three to four students and must be mentored by one active lecturer registered on PDDikti with a NUPTK. A lecturer is permitted to mentor a maximum of five teams for all competing divisions.
Each student can join a maximum of two teams, but they are only allowed to be a team leader once. Cross-divisional membership is also permitted, giving students the opportunity to build multidisciplinary collaborations in line with the artistic education character at ISI Yogyakarta.
In addition to creativity and innovation aspects, the internal selection for LIDM 2026 also emphasizes integrity and quality of work. All teams are required to follow the schedule and regulations outlined in the LIDM 2026 Guide. Submitted works are not permitted to contain elements of hate speech, blasphemy, SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations) harassment, gender discrimination, body shaming, or radicalism.
Participants are also required to ensure that the submitted work is original, has not been included in other competitions or previous LIDMs, and is free from plagiarism. The statement of originality must be acknowledged by the supervising lecturer and approved by the head of student affairs.
The organization of this internal selection is expected to encourage ISI Yogyakarta students to dare to present creative solutions based on art and technology. With the strength of three faculties, namely performing arts, fine arts and design, and recording media arts, ISI Yogyakarta has strong academic and artistic capital to contribute to the development of educational digital innovation at the national level.
