Yogyakarta ISI Strengthens Position as National Leading Arts Campus at SNBT 2026 Announcement Momentum

Yogyakarta, May 24, 2025 – The press conference announcing the results of the National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT) 2026 pathway and the announcement of KIP-Kuliah recipients for the SNBT pathway is a significant moment in Indonesian higher education. This national agenda, held on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 12:30 PM Western Indonesian Time (WIB), was led directly by the SNPMB Steering Committee and broadcast via the SNPMB ID YouTube channel and Instagram @snpmb_id.

The press conference featured several important figures in national education, including the Chairman of the National Student Selection Board for Higher Education (SNPMB) Governing Body, Prof. Dr. Ir. Eduart Wolok, ST., MT., Vice Chairman I, Prof. Dr. S. Martono, M.Si., Vice Chairman II, Ahar Muhammad Diah, S.E., M.M., Ph.D., Vice Chairman III, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Brian Yuliarto, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., and the Acting Head of the Center for Higher Education Financing and Assessment, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Sandro Niwat, S.T., M.Eng., IPM. Also present was Ir. Bambang Hendrawan, S.T., M.Si., CIPMP., CISCP, as part of the SNPMB national implementation team.

Amidst the high public attention on the 2026 SNBT results, the Indonesia Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, or ISI Yogyakarta, is increasingly demonstrating its presence as a leading artHigher education institution capable of competing nationally and internationally. The government's trust in ISI Yogyakarta as one of the centers for implementing the 2026 UTBK-SNBT is concrete proof of the art institution's capacity in supporting the national higher education selection system, which is professional, modern, and accountable.

The implementation of the UTBK at ISI Yogyakarta took place orderly, supported by technology-based infrastructure and humane academic services. This demonstrates that higher education institutions for the arts are not only superior in creating works and developing culture but also possess institutional governance quality on par with other top universities in Indonesia.

ISI Yogyakarta's reputation continues to grow through academic achievements and strengthened educational quality. One of the strategic achievements by 2026 is obtaining “EXCELLENT” accreditation for the Performing Arts Education Study Program from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Education (LAMDIK). This accomplishment reinforces ISI Yogyakarta's position as a nationally reputable center for arts education, producing creative, innovative, and globally competitive graduates.

In addition to excelling academically, ISI Yogyakarta is also actively building international networks, strengthening creative research, and expanding collaborations with cultural industries and the creative economy.
