Dozens of Universities Gather at ISI Yogyakarta to Discuss APS 5.1 Accreditation Instrument

YOGYAKARTA, March 5, 2026 - Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta is once again trusted to host a national strategic agenda in the field of higher education. The leading art campus in Indonesia is the location for the Socialization of Study Program Accreditation Instrument (APS) 5.1 organized by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).

The activity took place on the ISI Yogyakarta campus and was attended by leaders of study program management units and representatives of universities from various institutions in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and surrounding areas.

The socialization of APS 5.1 is part of BAN-PT's efforts to strengthen universities' understanding of the latest policies related to study program accreditation mechanisms and instruments, which are important indicators in the national higher education quality assurance system.

BAN-PT's trust in ISI Yogyakarta to host this activity emphasizes the position of the art campus as one of the higher education institutions that has an important role in strengthening academic governance and improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia.

This socialization activity was attended by representatives from various universities in Yogyakarta, both public and private universities, institutes, high schools, academies, and polytechnics.

Some of the invited universities include Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta State University, Veteran National Development University Yogyakarta, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University, Universitas Islam Indonesia, Muhammadiyah University Yogyakarta, Sanata Dharma University, Ahmad Dahlan University, AMIKOM University Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta University of Technology, AKPRIND University Indonesia, Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta, Duta Wacana Christian University, Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University, and various other universities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

In addition, the event was also attended by various official universities, institutes, high schools, and academies such as the Air Force Academy, Magelang Military Academy, Yogyakarta Multi Media College “MMTC”, National Land College, National Institute of Technology Yogyakarta, Adisutjipto Institute of Aerospace Technology, and a number of academies and polytechnics in Yogyakarta.

In total, more than 100 higher education institutions were on the invitation list.

Through this activity, BAN-PT hopes that study program managers can understand more comprehensively the indicators, assessment mechanisms, and the latest policy directions related to the APS 5.1 Study Program Accreditation Instrument.

This socialization activity is also a space for academic dialogue between BAN-PT and universities in order to improve the quality of higher education implementation, starting from the aspects of study program governance, learning quality, to strengthening the output of the tridarma of higher education.

For ISI Yogyakarta, organizing this activity is also a momentum to strengthen the institution's commitment to supporting the higher education quality assurance system and emphasizing its position as a leading art college that actively contributes to the development of national academic standards.

As one of the largest art education centers in Indonesia, ISI Yogyakarta continues to demonstrate its role not only in the development of arts and culture, but also in strengthening the academic ecosystem and higher education collaboration at the national level.
