ISI Yogyakarta Trusted by BAN-PT to be a Test Site for the SAPTO 2.0 National Accreditation System

YOGYAKARTA, March 4, 2026 - Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta has once again demonstrated its strategic role in the development of national higher education governance by hosting the Trial of the Online Higher Education Accreditation System (SAPTO) 2.0 organized by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).

The activity, which took place on the ISI Yogyakarta campus, is part of BAN-PT's efforts to test the latest accreditation system that will be used nationally in the process of quality assurance of higher education in Indonesia. The activity was attended by the Director of the BAN-PT Executive Board, Prof. Ari Purbayanto, Ph.D.

The SAPTO 2.0 system trial involved a number of universities from various scientific fields and educational levels in Indonesia. In this activity, the Batik and Fashion Study Program (D-III) ISI Yogyakarta became one of the study programs involved in simulating the use of the latest accreditation system developed by BAN-PT.

The presence of ISI Yogyakarta as the location for organizing this activity shows the level of trust of national accreditation agencies in the capacity and readiness of art institutions in supporting the transformation of the higher education quality assurance system. This activity is also a strategic space for universities to understand new mechanisms in data management and a more integrated digital system-based accreditation process.

Through SAPTO 2.0, BAN-PT seeks to increase the effectiveness and transparency of the higher education accreditation process by utilizing information technology more optimally. This system is expected to accelerate the process of evaluating the quality of study programs while strengthening the integration of higher education data at the national level.

ISI Yogyakarta's active participation in this activity emphasizes the institution's commitment to maintaining and improving the quality standards of higher education in the arts in Indonesia. In addition, this involvement also strengthens ISI Yogyakarta's position as one of the leading art universities that continues to play a role in developing a quality, adaptive and globally competitive national higher education system.

As an art institution that has a strong reputation in the fields of fine arts, design, music, dance, theater, film, and various other creative practices, ISI Yogyakarta continues to strive to strengthen academic governance and the quality of study programs through various collaborations with national and international institutions.

This SAPTO 2.0 trial activity is also a momentum for ISI Yogyakarta to continue to encourage innovation in the management of higher education in the arts and strengthen its contribution to the development of a superior higher education ecosystem and impact on society.
