Yogyakarta - The Art Management Study Program (TKS), Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta again shows its commitment in presenting industry-based learning through the implementation of Art Handling Workshop which was held on Wednesday (25/2/2026) at RJ Katamsi Gallery, Yogyakarta.

This activity presented around ten professional art handlers from Helutrans to provide direct education to students about operational standards for handling art works according to global industry practices. This workshop is a strategic learning space that brings together students with professional work standards that have been applied in various international art events, including Art Basel Hong Kong.

In the practical session, students learned firsthand the techniques of installation, removal of works, and safe and precise packing procedures according to international standards. Not only that, participants also gained a comprehensive understanding of the process of moving artworks (art movement), including how the works of world-class masters are handled in the context of art fairs and museums across countries.

This workshop emphasizes ISI Yogyakarta's position as an art college that not only excels in the creation and study of art, but also in the aspects of governance, management, and logistics of artworks at a professional level. The industrial practice-based learning approach is a distinctive advantage for the Art Governance Study Program, which consistently builds networks with national and international art industry players.
