This activity is the first step of cross-disciplinary collaboration in reading and reflecting on the Philosophical Axis World Heritage of Yogyakarta through the perspective of art, architecture, and culture. This workshop brought together academics, practitioners, and students in a constructive academic dialog space to enrich the understanding of cultural heritage preservation in local and global contexts.
Four speakers were presented in this forum, namely Dr. Ulrike Herbig from TU Wien, Austria; Dr. Laretna T. Adi Sakti from Architecture and Planning Universitas Gadjah Mada; Warsono, M.A. from the Art Conservation Study Program ISI Yogyakarta; and Drs. Aryanto Hendro Suprantoro, Head of the DIY Philosophical Axis Area Management Center.

Through this workshop, students not only gained conceptual strengthening, but were also encouraged to develop artistic and academic sensitivity in reading urban space as a living cultural entity. This forum became a forum for exchanging ideas as well as critical reflection on the practice of preserving cultural heritage in the global era.
Agenda World Heritage Day & Exhibition held at Tugu Station Yogyakarta, will feature the work of students of the ISI Yogyakarta Art Conservation Study Program together with students from Gadjah Mada University as a form of implementation of the results of discussions and academic exploration during the workshop.
