Yogyakarta, December 26, 2025 - Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta confirms its commitment in bringing real impact to the community through an elderly empowerment program entitled Klik Lansia, which culminated in an art performance. This activity involves Paguyuban Thoklik Lansia Bugar Ngudi Budoyo and Paguyuban Gejog Lesung Gengawatoni as the main actors.
The Klik Lansia performance was the final result of an intensive rehearsal process for approximately three months carried out collaboratively with the Klik Lansia Team (TimKlans). The process not only focuses on strengthening artistic skills, but also on continuous mentoring that places the elderly as creative subjects in the arts and cultural space.
Through this performance, ISI Yogyakarta presents an appreciation space for the work and spirit of the elderly, as well as showing the active role of students in carrying out the value of Students with Impact, namely learning based on dedication and social usefulness. The performance displays a lively expression of traditional art, rooted in local wisdom, and reflects the spirit of togetherness across generations.
The Klik Lansia program is also part of the effort to support the development of elderly tourism villages and elderly-friendly villages, by placing art as a medium of empowerment, social health, and cultural sustainability. The presence of ISI Yogyakarta in this program confirms the institution's position as an arts campus that is not only academically superior, but also responsive to humanitarian and social issues.
Through this activity, ISI Yogyakarta hopes that the spirit of empowering the elderly based on arts and culture can continue, and become an inspiration for similar collaborations in the future. The Klik Lansia program is a clear example of how art can act as a bridge between higher education and the real needs of society.
