Yogyakarta, December 2, 2025 - Another proud achievement comes from the Indonesian Institute of Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta. Students of the Interior Design Study Program (PSDI) successfully won the 1st Winner as well as the Daniel's Choice Award in the prestigious DAIKIN Designer Awards 2025 for the category of Conceptual Interior Design Residential (Students).
This award was achieved by two talented student teams, namely the team consisting of Syaukat Zidane, Micko Nusadi, and Rachmat Hidayat, and the team of Cindya Ulia S.R. with Ain Nurpanji. The entire team processed under the guidance of Mahdi Nurcahyo, S.Sn., M.A., who played a role in directing the development of ideas to produce innovative and applicable conceptual interior design works.
DAIKIN Designer Awards is known as a competition that challenges students to present residential design concepts that are visionary, functional, and responsive to today's space needs. The victory of two teams at once from ISI Yogyakarta not only shows the technical ability and creativity of students, but also strengthens PSDI's position as one of the best interior design education centers in Indonesia.
This achievement is proof that ISI Yogyakarta students are able to compete at the national level through strong design ideas, mature aesthetics, and innovations that are relevant to industry developments. The achievement is also an important encouragement for the campus to continue to develop an academic ecosystem that encourages collaboration, experimentation, and unlimited creativity.
ISI Yogyakarta gives its highest appreciation to the winners and hopes that this success will be the first step towards a brilliant professional career in the field of interior design. Hopefully this achievement will inspire more students to show their best quality and continue to make the institution proud in various art and design competitions.
