Yogyakarta - Proud news comes from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta. Helena Fitri Dewi, a student of the Media Design Study Program, was successfully selected and officially inaugurated as a Google Student Ambassador (GSA) 2025.
The inauguration of Google Student Ambassador 2025 took place over two days, September 29-30, 2025, at MGP Space and Google Indonesia Office, South Jakarta. In the event, Google officially inaugurated 800 ambassadors from all over Indonesia. From around 12,000 applicants, only 9%s made it through the selection process. This indicates that the competition is very tight.
As a Google Student Ambassador, Helena will serve as an information bridge and liaison between Google and the student community at ISI Yogyakarta. Her role includes spreading technological literacy, facilitating digital training, and encouraging the use of Google tools to support creativity and innovation among art students.
To achieve this position, Helena went through a comprehensive selection process, from administration to practical assignments to interviews. Her success reflects not only her technical competence and leadership, but also her ability to integrate art with digital technology, a synergy that is increasingly relevant in today's creative era.
Helena's election proves that ISI Yogyakarta students not only excel in the fields of art and design, but are also able to compete in the realm of technology and digital leadership. Her existence as a GSA is expected to inspire and encourage the spirit of innovation for the entire academic community of FSRD ISI Yogyakarta.
On the occasion, Helena expressed her enthusiasm, "This is an amazing opportunity to be able to contribute and share knowledge about technology. I hope to bring Google's spirit of innovation to our campus, so that students can utilize digital tools to elevate their artwork to a broader level".
