Lecturers of the Faculty of Performing Arts (FSP) ISI Yogyakarta again made brilliant achievements in the international arena. In the event of The 6th International Symposium on Creative Fine Arts (ISCFA) 2025 held at Thaksin University, Thailand, FSP ISI Yogyakarta lecturers won a gold medal for the Performing Arts category.
This prestigious award was given to the Dean and Lecturers of FSP ISI Yogyakarta consisting of I Nyoman Cau Arsana, Ni Kadek Rai Dewi Astini, Retno Dwi Intarti, and Agustin Anggraeni for the performance of the work entitled "Raksa Bhumi", which raises the cultural wealth of the archipelago through a contemporary performing arts approach.
The international symposium, which took place on April 28-29, 2025 at Prem Music Auditorium, Thaksin University, had the theme "The Rise of Independent Art: Decentralizing Creative Spaces". This scientific forum brought together academics, artists, and students from various countries to share creative practices in visual and performing arts.
The award certificate was signed by Associate Professor Dr. Nathapong Chitniratna, President of Thaksin University, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Raweewat Thaicharoen, Dean of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Thaksin University. This achievement is proof that Indonesian artworks are able to compete and be recognized on the international stage, while strengthening the position of the archipelago's cultural arts in the midst of the globalization of art.
