Lecturer of the Faculty of Fine Arts (FSR) ISI Yogyakarta, Warsono, S.Sn., M.A. successfully obtained a research grant from the British Council. Warsono, S.Sn., M.A. and Triarani Utama who are members of Jogja Disability Arts (Indonesia) collaborated with Rachel Rogers and Ngozi Ugochukwu from Dada Fest (UK) to obtain a grant from the British Council. Jogja Disability Arts is a disability awareness organization that strives to improve the quality of life and empowerment of people with disabilities through visual arts.
On a grant funded by the British Council, Warsono, S.Sn., M.A. together with Jogja Disability Arts and Dada Fest submitted a research entitled "PRISM: Understanding the Spectrum of Meaning in Disability Arts Collaborations". This collaborative research is one of ten proposals selected for this year's Connections Through Culture (CTC) grant, the British Council's flagship program for artistic collaboration and intercultural exchange.
The research conducted by Jogja Disability Arts and Dada Fest is expected to provide important input for the development of sustainable Disability Arts Collaboration Guidelines. The grant obtained by Warsono, S.Sn., M.A. may inspire other ISI Yogyakarta lecturers.
