The Faculty of Performing Arts (FSP) ISI Yogyakarta, through the Dance and Karawitan Study Program held an Independent Project in Srimanganti Ward, Kraton Yogyakarta on November 11 and 12, 2023. The Dance and Karawitan Study Program collaborated to stage a wayang wong fragment entitled "Kikis Tunggarana". In this performance, students and lecturers of the Dance Study Program acted as dancers or performers of the wayang wong fragment entitled "Kikis Tunggarana", while the Karawitan Study Program acted as musical accompanists or pengrawit.
The wayang wong fragment performance entitled "Kikis Tunggarana" is a program of Merdeka Belajar - Kampus Merdeka from the Dance and Karawitan Study Program, FSP ISI Yogyakarta. Through this performance, the two study programs hope to provide experience to students to organize performances off campus and in public spaces. Performing in this public space will test students' mentality when performing in front of the public.
Era Merdeka Belajar - Merdeka Campus provides opportunities for students to improve their competence by doing activities outside the campus. Off-campus activities are expected to build students' hard skills and soft skills. The wayang wong fragment performance entitled "Kikis Tunggarana" will strengthen students' hard skills and soft skills.
