The Theater Study Program, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta in collaboration with Teater Sani held a theater performance entitled "Katrok Merindukan Bulan" on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 19.00 WIB, located at Pendopo Tobranan, Banguntapan, Bantul. This theatre performance is the output of the Matching Fund Program with the title "Utilizing the Corporate Theatre Platform for the Empowerment of the Theatre Community in Yogyakarta": Theatre Study Program, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta and Sani Theatre Partners". Through this program, the Theatre Study Program, FSP ISI Yogyakarta strives to foster the arts community so that it can continue to exist in society.
The theater performance "Katrok Merindukan Bulan" tries to raise the issue that is currently being discussed by the people of Yogyakarta, namely "Sampah" (garbage). Through this performance, it is expected to be able to provide a description of solutions to the problems currently faced by the people of Yogyakarta. Wrong waste management, by burning it, can lead to new problems, namely health and the environment. The solution to the problem in Yogyakarta is the active role of the community in waste management.
The theater performance "Katrok Merindu Bulan" was performed by the people of Tobranan hamlet who are members of the Teater Sani community. This performance is an effort to empower the community in developing the art community. This performance also shows the efforts of the Theater Study Program which has carried out creative community resilience management, mentoring and enrichment of community product marketing. Hopefully the efforts that have been made will be able to realize Teater Seni as an art community with good performance management and be able to market the art products produced so that they can continue to exist in the midst of society.
