ISI Yogyakarta Dance Department lecturer, Dr. Rina Martiara, M.Hum. became a speaker at the International Conference and Cultural Event of Lampung 2021 / ICCE Lampung 2021. The event, which was held from December 14-16 by Monash University, Australia, was held online on December 16, 2021 with the theme "Cangget as an Identity Symbol of Lampung".
The presenter will discuss the identity construction of Lampung Tribes and transmigrant communities, arts among these communities, the history of religious influence on arts in Lampung, arts in society in the context of development, local government, and education, as well as cultural identity debates. The main theme is also related to research on migration and social inclusion in Lampung.
Keynote speakers include Professor Bart Barendregt (Leiden University, Netherlands); Professor Atsushi Oka (Keio University, Japan); Dr. Rina Martiara (Institut Seni, Yogyakarta, Indonesia) and Dr. Aline Scott Maxwell, (Monash University). The hybrid event at the Clayton Campus with zoom attendance option will include a series of events, including a tour of the Lampung Exhibition of musical instruments, textiles and other artifacts; a special lecture (keynote address) by Dr Aline Scott Maxwell.
