Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta Opens Indonesian Craft Festival

The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Timbul Raharjo opened the Indonesian Craft Festival (FASTKRINA #1) Kriya Nusantara: Kriyatif - Inspiratif organized by the Craft Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts, ISI Yogyakarta on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. This festival will be held for two days in a hybrid manner, namely online and offline on November 16 to 17, 2021. The offline festival will be held at the Sasana Aji Yasa Building, Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta, Jalan Parangtritis Km 6.5 Yogyakarta.

FASTKRINA #1 which was held for the first time with the topic Kriya Nusantara: Kriyatif - Inspiratif consists of several agendas such as, Craft Student Congress throughout Indonesia, Kriya Nusantara Exhibition by Craft students throughout Indonesia and Fashion Show by Craft students. The three events mentioned above are events dedicated to Craft Study Program students from all universities that have Craft Study Programs in Indonesia. The Student Congress also brought in resource persons consisting of academics, entrepreneurs, and practitioners who have a lot of experience, especially in managing businesses in the field of Craft, including crafts. The speakers are

2. Deddy Effendy, S.T (entrepreneur, owner of CV. Palem Craft)
3. Robertus Agung Prasetya, S.E., M.M (entrepreneur, owner of CV. Kwas)
4. Bayu Aria, S.Sn (alumni, entrepreneur, owner of CV. Hotwax Studio)
The Student Congress was attended by Kriya student delegates from all over Indonesia, such as ISI Surakarta, ISI Padang Panjang, ISI Denpasar, ISBI Aceh, ITB, IKJ, UNY, UNS, UNM, UB, ISBI Bandung, ISBI Kaltim, UPI Bandung, Telkom University, UMB (Muhamadiyah University Bandung), UNESA and UNIMED. Some delegation participants will attend offline and some online considering the pandemic situation. The three events were held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. One of the targets of the Congress is to produce a more solid, structured and organized network of Craft Study Program students throughout Indonesia.
In addition to activities aimed at students, Fastkrina #1 also held an event for lecturers of Craft Study Programs in all universities in Indonesia that have Craft Study Programs. The event was a Discussion Forum and Coordination Meeting for the Establishment of Craft Study Program Associations throughout Indonesia. The second day of activities in the Fastkrina #1 series was held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 also in a hybrid manner, namely offline and online. The coordination meeting on the formation of the Study Program Association was made considering that the existence of a Study Program Association is very important, especially related to the curriculum, learning outcomes and the needs of the world of work and / or industry for graduates. For this reason, the existence of the Craft Study Program Association is a necessity. The event was also attended by delegates from ISI Surakarta, ISI Denpasar, ISI Padang Panjang, ITB, UNS, UNY, Telkom University, ISBI Aceh and other universities that have Craft Study Programs.
