Documentary Film "MIMPI ANDINI" by ISI Lecturer Nominated 25 Recommendations of the Nusantara Documentary Association (ADN) at the 2021 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI)

Documentary Film "Mimpi Andini" by Lecturer of Theater Department, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogykarata Philipus Nugroho Hari Wibowo, or often called Philipus Maliobowo, received a recommendation from the Nusantara Documentaryist Association (ADN) to be included in the top 25 nominations from all 97 participants at the 2021 FFI. The 25 shortlisted films will be selected into 5 nominees by a 3-person jury appointed by the Association of Documentaryists of the Archipelago (ADN).

Mimpi Andini tells the story of Lomban Jepara which is held every year on the third day after Eid al-Fitr in Jepara Regency. Lomban Jepara is told from the point of view of a woman named Andini (Sabila Bahana Jagad), a buffalo owner who lost her favorite buffalo (Mahesa), this buffalo was her best friend since childhood. Mahesa was chosen for this year's Lomban (2019).

Unlike documentary films that we often watch that present interviews with sources or characters in the film, in this film information about lomban is presented with the language of images and assembled with a narrative story. Although Andini tried to refuse, she was not able to. Mahesa has been matched and lined up for Lomban.

Although she was sad to part with Mahesa, Andini realized that Lomban was held for the welfare of many people (Fishermen). Her personal ego must lose out to the greater interest, the interest of the community (Fishermen). It was a nightmare for Andini, but she knew many people were happy to welcome Lomban. A sadness for happiness. Despite her heavy heart, Andini still participated in the buffalo procession and slaughter to release Mahesa. Through a procession, Mahesa's head was then placed in a boat along with uborampe, then brought to the middle of the sea. Mahesa's head is floated to the middle of the sea along with the ship and uborampe. At the end of the story, Andini sends flowers as a sign of love on the beach.

The film Mimpi Andini is the result of research supported by LPPM ISI Yogyakarta.

Before being presented in the form of a documentary film, the text about Lomban Jepara was presented by Philipus Maliobowo into a theater performance entitled Mourning For Happines to represent the Delegation of the Department of Theater FSP ISI Yogyakarta at the Asian Pacific Berau event in Hanoi Vietnam on September 23-29, 2019 with Dramaturg Surya Farid Sathotho who is also a lecturer at the Department of Theater FSP ISI Yogyakarta.

Mimpi Andini previously also received the Best 6 award at the 2020 Puskat Film Festival, and became the Official Selection at the 4th Bahari Film Festival in 2021 so that it had the opportunity to be screened with films by other international filmmakers.
