The Art Management Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta in collaboration with the 2019 Batch of Art Management Study Program Students (ANTASENI 2019) held an ART MARKETING TALK. #1. This discussion will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 19.00 to 20.30 WIB online. This discussion will specifically discuss the art market. Is it true that the contemporary art market moves without prediction? Where does the development of the art market flow? Without studying it, we may not know the direction and map of the spread of ideas and markets.
To get answers to the questions above, this first art marketing discussion discussed 2 important books to be studied more deeply. This discussion was initiated by 2 speakers from students of the Art Management Study Program, Sister Sminta Parama Anindita Putri and Salwa Yunaika Adani. Sminta Parama Anindita Putri will deliver a discussion based on a book with the title Selling Contemporary Art: How to Navigate the Evolving Market by Edward Winkleman. The second speaker, Salwa Yunaika Adani will present a discussion based on the book What They Didn't Teach You in Art School: How to survive as an artist in the real world by Rosalinda Davis and Annabel Tilley. With exposure from both speakers, hopefully able to answer various questions in front. This discussion will also be guided by the moderator who is a student of the S-1 Art Management Study Program class of 2019, Ibrohim.
