MoU signing between ISI Yogyakarta, PT Dipadira Mediatama Indonesia and PT Wangsa Ultima Kreasi

Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta signed an MoU with two partners from the industrial world, namely PT Dipadira Mediatama Indonesia and PT Wangsa Ultima. The MoU signing was held on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at the Greenhost Boutique Prawirotawan Hotel, Yogyakarta.

The MoU signing ceremony began with remarks from the Head of the Animation Study Program Dr. Samuel Gandang Gunanto, S.Kom., M.T.. In his speech he said that the signing of this MoU has meaning as a real milestone of cooperation between the study program and the industrial world in an effort to improve the quality of the Animation Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta. In order to improve quality, the Animation Study Program also holds teaching factory activities and makes curriculum changes so as to realize the link and match between the study program and the industrial world.

The next speech was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts, Dr. Irwandi, S.Sn., M.Sn.. The remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts complemented the remarks delivered by the Head of the Animation Study Program that today's activities are a series of activities from the PPPTV Grant obtained by the Animation Study Program. Other activities carried out include teaching factory, curriculum changes and increasing cooperation with the industrial world as an effort to realize the link and match between universities and the industrial world.

The next speech was delivered by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. In his remarks he said that the PPPTV grant would improve the quality of the Animation Study Program, link and match higher education and the industrial world as an effort to create superior human resources that would be absorbed by the world of work, teaching factory became important in curriculum development to realize the link and match of higher education and the industrial world and the Chancellor advised that the MoU and other cooperation documents did not become sleeping MoUs without any implementation of cooperation activities.

After the speech, the next event was the signing of the MoU between ISI Yogyakarta and PT Dipadira Mediatama Indonesia. ISI Yogyakarta was represented by Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum as the Rector and Dieky Suprayogi as the director of PT Dipadira. The next MoU signing was carried out by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta with the Director of PT Wangsa Ultima Kreasi, H. Rangga Yudo Yuwono ST. Along with the signing of this MoU, a Cooperation Agreement was also signed between the Faculty of Record Media ISI Yogyakarta and the two institutions.

The MoU signing ceremony ended with remarks from the two Directors of industrial partners, Dieky Suprayogi and H. Rangga Yudo Yuwono ST. Both Directors of the industrial partners agreed that the need for universities to collaborate with the industrial world so as to be able to develop a curriculum that is able to deliver college alumni to be absorbed by the world of work.
