Thursday, August 8, 2019, at the Concert Hall Building of ISI Yogyakarta, an event was held to release the Professor of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. Y. Sumandiyo Hadi, S.S.T., S.U. The event began with singing the Indonesia Raya song then continued with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts, Drs. Siswadi, M.Sn., and remarks from the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. While the delivery of impressions and messages from lecturer representatives was delivered by Prof. Dr. I Wayan Dana, S.S.T., M.Hum.
In this event, the launch of Bunga Rampai with the title Creative Spaces in Art Studies, Creation, and Education, as well as Oration and performance of Klana Topeng Dance by Prof. Dr. Y. Sumandiyo Hadi, S.S.T., S.U. In addition, the Faculty of Performing Arts presented a Fragment Performance "Taman Soka" as a form of appreciation for him.
Prof. Dr. Y. Sumandiyo Hadi, S.S.T., S.U., is a Professor of Dance, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta. His academic career began as a lecturer and civil servant in 1972 at ASTI Yogyakarta, which later developed into the Dance Department of FSP ISI Yogyakarta. Then in the process of his career as a lecturer culminated in the appointment of Professor of Dance at FSP ISI Yogyakarta in 2002. The inauguration of the Professor of Dance, with a scientific speech entitled "The Phenomenon of Dance Creativity in the Macro Social Dimension". In addition, this academic capacity is strengthened by various scientific activities such as research and assessors of various fields in higher education at the Ministry of Research and Technology, writing journals and books, as well as national and international seminars or symposia in various countries. He also maintains his artistic dimension as a dancer, choreographer, and as the head of an art team traveling to various countries.
