EthniCallity Side: Transforming Traditional Music into the Digital Era, PSP ISI Yogyakarta Students Receive P2MW 2026 Funding

Yogyakarta, May 25, 2026 – Indonesia Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta has once again affirmed its position as an art higher education institution that is adaptive to the development of technology-based creative industries. This achievement was demonstrated through the success of students from the Performing Arts Education Study Program, Faculty of Performing Arts, in securing funding for the 2026 Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW).

A student team consisting of Ade Nur Fauzi, Saparius Ferdianto, and Muhammad Nashih successfully secured funding through an innovation titled “Lado EthniCallity Studio: Digitalized Ethnic Music Production Services and Traditional Instrument Transformation.” The program is in the Growth Stage category and is mentored by lecturer Hana Permata Heldisari, S.Pd., M.Pd.

Saparius Ferdianto, as the team leader, along with Ade Nur Fauzi and Muhammad Nashih, is credited with successfully presenting a creative idea that combines the preservation of traditional music with the utilization of digital technology. Through this concept, the team developed an ethnic music production service based on digitalization and the transformation of traditional instruments to be more adaptive to the development of the modern music industry.

This success is proof that art students are not only superior in artistic aspects but are also capable of presenting creative innovations relevant to the needs of today's creative industry. The innovations developed are expected to open new avenues for the development of Indonesian ethnic music, as well as expand the reach of local cultural promotion to national and international levels.

These achievements further strengthen ISI Yogyakarta's reputation as a higher education institution for the arts capable of producing creative, innovative, and competitive students. In addition to focusing on artistic creation, ISI Yogyakarta also continuously encourages the development of creative entrepreneurship based on arts and culture.

Support from the ISI Yogyakarta Career Development and Entrepreneurship Unit, supervising lecturers, and a collaborative academic environment are important factors in fostering student innovations that are competitive at the national level.

Through this achievement, ISI Yogyakarta once again demonstrates its commitment to fostering a young generation capable of developing traditional arts through technological approaches and creative innovation. The success of these Performing Arts Education students is expected to inspire the academic community to continue creating, innovating, and bringing Indonesian art and culture to a broader stage.
