This activity is organized in collaboration between the Undergraduate Program in Wayang Art of ISI Yogyakarta and SMK Negeri 1 Kasihan as part of the spirit of a "Kampus Berdampak" (Impactful Campus). Through this activity, ISI Yogyakarta reaffirms its role as a higher education institution for the arts that not only develops scientific knowledge and artistic practice within the campus environment, but also actively contributes to strengthening the cultural arts ecosystem within the community.

This performance features three shadow puppet shows: Wayang Golek Menak by Aneng Kiswantoro, S.Sn., M.Sn. with the story “Iman Suwongsa Takon Bapa”; Surakarta Style Wayang Kulit (Leather Puppets) by Hariyanto, S.Sn., M.Hum. with the story “Dendam Kesumat Jara”; and Yogyakarta Style Wayang Kulit (Leather Puppets) by Alif Marsha Novandra, a student from Kasihan State Vocational High School, with the story “Sinta Ilang”.

The Guest Lecture and Exhibition of Puppetry Art Lecturers is an important space to showcase the academic productivity of puppetry art lecturers, as well as to bring together tradition, education, and the regeneration of young artists. The involvement of students from SMK Negeri 1 Kasihan in this performance also strengthens the relationship between higher art education and vocational art secondary education as part of the continuity of cultural heritage.

Through a concise and communicative wayang kulit performance that is relevant to today's generation, this activity is expected to broaden public appreciation for the art of puppetry. ISI Yogyakarta continues to encourage traditional arts not to remain as heritage, but to grow as a vibrant, adaptive, and impactful creative space for the community.

This performance can also be watched via live streaming on the WAYANG Studio YouTube channel and HMJ Pedalangan ISI Yogyakarta.
