Towards Competitive Graduates, ISI Yogyakarta Integrates Legal Literacy in Student Entrepreneurship Development

Yogyakarta, December 17, 2025 - Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta, through the Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR), continues to strengthen the role of higher education as an institution of higher learning. Impactful Campus by encouraging the development of sustainable and legal certainty-based student entrepreneurship. This effort was realized through collaboration with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) of Yogyakarta Special Region in business legality briefing activities for students.

This activity aims to improve students' legal literacy, especially related to legal aspects in managing businesses in the arts and creative industries sector. The resource person from the DIY Ministry of Law and Human Rights delivered material on the importance of business legality, including the introduction of business entity forms, business registration procedures, and intellectual property protection as a strategic instrument in maintaining the sustainability and economic value of creative works.

Through this briefing, FSMR ISI Yogyakarta students are encouraged to not only produce innovative work, but also be able to manage businesses professionally and responsibly. Business legality is seen as an important foundation in building a student entrepreneurship ecosystem that has an impact, has legal certainty, and is able to contribute to strengthening the creative economy and society.

The leadership of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta emphasized that this activity was in line with the direction of ISI Yogyakarta's policy in supporting the development of student entrepreneurship as part of the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education and the program. Impactful Campus. Through synergy with the DIY Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the institution seeks to provide contextual learning that is relevant to the needs of the world of work and business.

This cross-sector collaboration is expected to strengthen the readiness of ISI Yogyakarta graduates as creative people who are not only artistically superior, but also have legal awareness, integrity, and the ability to build businesses that have a real impact on society and the development of the national creative sector.
