UPM, which has long had a strong track record in architecture and design education, views the plan as a strategic step and welcomes it enthusiastically.
The discussion then developed on the potential for cooperation that could support the process of establishing the study program. UPM expressed readiness to provide assistance and benchmarking curriculum, as well as opening up opportunities for cooperation in the form of joint supervision for lecturers and students. In addition, the discussion also included plans for research collaboration on spatial design, sustainable architecture, material innovation, and technology integration in the creative industry. Both parties see that this research collaboration can make a significant contribution in increasing reputable scientific publications and international recognition.
During the meeting, the two institutions also discussed the possibility of organizing joint activities such as collaborative studios, student mobility programs, international workshops, and academic exhibitions. These activities are expected to strengthen academic networks as well as increase the global experience of ISI Yogyakarta's academic community.
The visit to UPM is an important step in expanding international cooperation oriented towards quality, impact, and strengthening the institutional capacity of ISI Yogyakarta. Through constructive academic dialog and a long-term vision that is aligned, ISI Yogyakarta and UPM open up opportunities for broader scientific integration in the future, especially in the fields of design and architecture which are increasingly relevant to global demands.amirul husna
