Yogyakarta, 11 November 2025 - The Netraspoon Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program (PKM-K) team from Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta has successfully qualified for the prestigious 38th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) in 2025 which will be held at Hasanuddin University.
The Netraspoon team was led by Gregorius Guntur J.W. (Product Design Study Program 2023), with members Alya Ramadhani (Visual Communication Design 2023), Arethusa Guinevere D.E. (Visual Communication Design 2024), Corinthia Gabrielle S. (Visual Communication Design 2023), and Sinta Nur Anggaraheni (Product Design 2023). The team was guided by the lecturer Baridah Mutmainah, S.Ds., M.Des.
The work carried is entitled “Netraspoon: An Ergonomic Feeding Spoon with Temperature Indicator and Vibration Sensor for the Independence of Blind Children.” This innovation is the result of collaboration between students from the Visual Communication Design and Product Design Study Programs of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, ISI Yogyakarta. The product is designed to help blind children to be more independent when eating through an ergonomic design equipped with temperature and vibration sensors as a safe and comfortable guide.
This achievement is a matter of pride because Netraspoon is the only team from ISI Yogyakarta that has successfully qualified for PIMNAS after previously receiving funding from Belmawa Kemendikbudristek. This success shows the ability of ISI Yogyakarta students to create innovations based on art, design and technology that have a real impact on society. PIMNAS is the highest national event in the field of student creativity and research in Indonesia. Through this competition, the Netraspoon team will compete with the best universities from all over Indonesia to show innovative work and real contributions to the progress of the nation.
