ISI Yogyakarta-The Theater Department of FSP ISI Yogyakarta, represented by Rano Sumarno, M.Sn., & Dendi Abdilah, became the Indonesian delegation at the BRICS + Countries Drama Schools Festival event, in Moscow Russia (September 19-29, 2025).
BRICS+ member countries, such as: Russia, Indonesia, Brazil, India, China, South Africa, Iran, UAE, & Belarus, also attended the theater performances with their own cultural characters.
Indonesia performed 2 theater shows, namely: "The Orphan of Zao" at VDNKh park & "The Scream of Bhatara Kala" at Moscow University of Theatrical Arts (Kobzon).
Each lecturer from BRICS+ members gave a workshop to all students who attended the event. The workshop material from Indonesia was "theater acting training with the sarong method".
Prior to the event, the Indonesian delegation was welcomed and supported by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Russian Federation.
Through the theater festival, BRICS+ members maintain the commitment to move forward together and maintain multilateral relations with a universal language aligned with the world theater stage.
