The Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) ISI Yogyakarta, through the Department of Fine Arts, will organize an International Art Exhibition entitled The Little Things: Stamp Reimagined. The exhibition presents contemporary artworks from various countries that reflect on the role and meaning of stamps as a medium of culture, history and the future.
The exhibition opens on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 16.00 WIB at Fadjar Sidik Gallery, ISI Yogyakarta, and will run until September 11, 2025, every day from 09.00 to 16.00 WIB. The exhibition is curated by Satrio Hari Wicaksono, S.Sn., M.Sn., lecturer and art curator.
With the theme "Stamp Reimagined", this exhibition invites the public to look back at stamps not only as a postal tool, but also as a medium of visual expression full of aesthetic values, symbols, and traces of the journey of civilization.
In addition to featuring the works of Indonesian artists, the exhibition also involves international participation from countries such as Malaysia, France, Italy, Grenada, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. This cross-country collaboration emphasizes the role of art as a universal language capable of uniting differences through a small but meaningful medium: stamps.
The exhibition "The Little Things: Stamps Reimagined" is open to the public and is expected to be an inspiring space for artists, academics, students, and the wider public who want to enjoy the diversity of artistic expressions from a global perspective.
