Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta is once again honored in the international arena. Dr. Irwandi, S.Sn., M.Sn., as the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, this time received an official invitation as a keynote speaker and guest artist at the event. "The 7th National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art, Culture and Design and The International Arts & Designs Collaborative Exhibition 2025" held in Thailand from July 8 to 10, 2025.
This international academic conference and exhibition was organized by the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Burapha University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts Dhurakij Pundit University, Faculty of Fine Arts Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, Faculty of Fine Arts Prince of Songkla University Pattani Campus (4U PLUS network) and the Council of Arts and Design Deans Council of Thailand (CADDT).
Carrying the theme "Fusion of Perspectives: Diversity in Creativity," The conference serves as a medium for academic knowledge exchange between artists, lecturers, and students from various art and design disciplines. The forum provides an opportunity to integrate, transfer and develop cultural, art and design knowledge in a sustainable creative approach.
On this occasion, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta delivered a presentation entitled "Fusion of Time: A Tapestry of Creative Voice Through Revived Photograhic Traditions". Through this presentation, the Rector explained about the process of creating works by taking a process that is usually only done to fulfill documentation but is utilized as a communication tool about the concepts and ideas of an artist.
This international exhibition was attended by participants from various countries such as Australia, Austria, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam, and the United States. Dr. Irwandi's presence in this prestigious forum is expected to strengthen the network of academic cooperation as well as bring the good name of ISI Yogyakarta and Indonesia on the international stage.
