ISI Yogyakarta and the College of Fine Arts, Seoul National University collaborated to organize a public lecture on June 20, 2025, at the Concert Hall Building of ISI Yogyakarta. The theme of this public lecture is "Artistic Creation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Perspectives and Adaptations in Korean Art Schools". The theme tries to provide a description of how the perspective of art schools in Korea on IA and how they adapt. This public lecture attempts to offer knowledge on how art college academics and artists are responding to IA technology.
We are all aware that artificial intelligence (AI) has changed many aspects of life, including the way we create art and how art is taught and learned, said the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. when giving a speech. He added that through today's discussion, we will gain first-hand insights into how leading institutions such as SNU design curriculum and learning environments that are forward-looking, yet still rooted in important values.
The speakers who will be presented in this public lecture include Prof. Euichul Jung (Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Seoul National University), Prof. Inho Cho (Associate Dean, College of Fine Arts, Seoul National University), Prof. Jesung Park (Associate Dean of Student Affairs, College of Fine Arts, Seoul National University) and Prof. Bogki Min (Professor at College of Fine Arts, Seoul National University). Prof. Euichul Jung delivered a talk on "Creators: Beyond the Role of a Social Actor", Prof. Bogki Min on "Digital Twin: A Space for Sensory Experimentation or the Beginning of Creation?", Prof. Jesung Park delivered a presentation on "Dialogue between Art and Artificial Intelligence" and the last presentation was delivered by Prof. Inho Cho on "The Development of Digital Media and Art.
College of Fine Arts, Seoul National University is one of the leading Art faculties in South Korea at Seoul National University. The speakers who came from the leading art college in South Korea succeeded in attracting the attention of public lecture participants to listen to the material presented.
This public lecture added many insights, opened new inspirations, and strengthened international collaboration for the advancement of art education in Indonesia and in the global arena.
