Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta Strengthens Cooperation with Srinakharinwirot University

Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta through the Faculty of Performing Arts (FSP) strengthens cooperation with Srinakharinwirot University. The effort to strengthen this cooperation was marked by the visit of the Head of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Srinakharinwirot University to FSP ISI Yogyakarta and a workshop for students of the Thai and Asian Music Postgraduate Program at the Karawitan Department on June 2, 2025.

The visit of the delegation from Faculty of Fine Arts, Srinakharinwirot University was received directly by Dr. I Nyoman Cau Arsana, M.Sn. as the Joint Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts. While the delegation from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Srinakharinwirot University was led directly by the Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kittikorn. Prof. Dr. Kittikorn Nopudomphan. During this visit, efforts were discussed to improve the implementation of cooperation with collaborative research by lecturers of both institutions, lecturer exchanges, organizing collaborative performances that will be held at ISI Yogyakarta in October and providing grants for traditional Thai musical instruments to FSP ISI Yogyakarta.

Along with this visit, students of the Thai and Asian Music Graduate Program attended a karawitan workshop held at the Karawitan Department, FSP ISI Yogyakarta. These students learned how to play gamelan, rebab and learned Javanese vocals.

FSP ISI Yogyakarta continues to strive to improve the implementation of cooperation and add foreign cooperation partners in order to maintain its ranking in the QS World University Ranking by Subject for the Performing Arts category. This year FSP ISI Yogyakarta managed to rank 113th and became the only Indonesian university that managed to enter the top 100 QS World University Ranking by Subject for the Performing Arts category. Hopefully with more implementation of cooperation and foreign cooperation partners will increase the top rank of QS World University Ranking by Subject for the Performing Arts subject next year.
