SBY-ANI Museum and Gallery Hold Audience with Rector of ISI Yogyakarta to Discuss Potential Collaboration

SBY-ANI Museum and Gallery held an audience with the Rector of Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in the VIP Room, ISI Yogyakarta Rectorate. The audience was held in order to explore opportunities for strategic collaboration in the fields of art and culture, especially in the context of organizing the South Bay Festival 2025. In this audience, the SBY-ANI Museum and Gallery delegation was received by Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. (Rector of ISI Yogyakarta), Dr. Dewanto Sukistono, M.Sn (Vice Rector for Academic and Planning) Dra. R.A. Esti Hapsari Saptiasih (Head of Bureau of Academic, Student Affairs, and Cooperation) and Warsono, S.Sn., M.A (Head of UPA Gallery ISI Yogyakarta).

During the meeting, representatives from SBY-ANI Museum and Gallery led by Nabila Amalina (Director of Administration & Business) explained the vision and programs being developed, including the initiative to build a partnership with ISI Yogyakarta as one of the leading art universities in Indonesia. ISI Yogyakarta, as a leading art college, is considered to have creative and academic resources that are very potential for collaboration. Furthermore, he said that the closest collaboration is ISI Yogyakarta's support in the South Bay Festival 2025. In this event, an art exhibition will be held which requires ISI Yogyakarta human resources as curators and invites ISI Yogyakarta students to exhibit their work in the exhibition.

The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta welcomed the visit and emphasized the importance of synergy between educational institutions and cultural institutions in strengthening the art ecosystem in Indonesia. "We welcome cooperation that can open space for ISI students and lecturers to be involved in curatorial activities, exhibitions, research, and educational programs at SBY-ANI Museum and Gallery," said the Rector.

Through this meeting, SBY-ANI Museum and Gallery and ISI Yogyakarta demonstrate their joint commitment to developing Indonesian art and culture through mutually reinforcing partnerships.
