ISI Yogyakarta students won the Yogyakarta Regional National Dance Competition Bartajuk "Inspirasi Diri" which was held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Innovation and Creativity Building, Gadjah Mada University. In this level of student dance competition, ISI Yogyakarta was represented by 5 dance teams namely Silak Dance Crew, Cecakal, Raynor, Amerta Bestari, Hasupa Dance Work and Els Dance Crew. Of the various dance teams, Cecakal and Silak Dance Crew from the Dance Study Program won 1st and 2nd place, while Amerta Bestari from the Performing Arts Education Study Program won the best costume award. Cecakal as the first winner will represent Yogyakarta region to perform in the Grand Final held in Jakarta.
National Dance Competition "Inspirasi Diri" is a dance competition organized by iForte Solusi Infotek. The competition has held several regional rounds in various cities in Indonesia, including Bandung, Surabaya, Lampung, Balikpapan, Semarang, and Yogyakarta. The participants who qualify from these regional rounds will proceed to the Grand Final which will be held in Jakarta.
ISI Yogyakarta continues to encourage its students to compete at the national and even international levels. The achievements obtained by students are not only beneficial for students but also for ISI Yogyakarta. Hopefully the achievements made by Cecakal, Silak Dance Crew and Amerta Bestari can motivate other ISI Yogyakarta students to excel.
