One of the Professors of ISI Yogyakarta Prof. Dr. St. Hanggar Budi Prasetya, S.Sn., M.Si. was inaugurated as the Rector of the Indonesian Institute of Arts and Culture (ISBI) Tanah Papua on December 18, 2024. The inauguration was conducted online by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Ir. Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro using the Zoom Workplace application. Prof. Dr. St. Hanggar Budi Prasetya, S.Sn., M.Si. will lead ISBI Tanah Papua from 2024 to 2028.
Prof. Dr. St. Hanggar Budi Prasetyo, S.Sn., M.Si. was successfully elected as Rector of the Institut Seni Budaya Indonesia (ISBI) Tanah Papua after receiving the most votes in the election held by the ISBI Tanah Papua Senate on Monday, November 18, 2024. He managed to outperform two other rector candidates, Dr. I Wayan Setem and Dr. I Dewa Ketut Wicaksana.
Before the inauguration, Prof. Dr. St. Hanggar Budi Prasetyo, S.Sn., M.Si. followed the procession of the rector election stages starting from Registration of Candidates for Rector, Exposure of Vision, Mission, and Work Programs, determination of Rector Candidates and Election of Rector of ISBI Tanah Papua.
In a post on ISI Yogyakarta's Instagram, the Rector, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. congratulated the inauguration of Prof. Dr. St. Hanggar Budi Prasetyo, S.Sn., M.Si. as Rector of ISBI Tanah Papua and said "Hopefully it will always be given smoothness in carrying out the mandate, and can bring Institut Seni Budaya Indonesia (ISBI) Tanah Papua to be more successful and victorious".
