National Sports Week 2024 commonly abbreviated as PON XXI / PON ACEH-SUMUT 2024 is the 21st implementation of the National Sports Week (PON) which is a major national multi-sport event held from 9 to 20 September 2024 with Aceh and North Sumatra as hosts. Dancesport is one of the sports contested at the XXI/2024 Aceh-North Sumatra National Sports Week (PON). The Dance sport competition was held at Santika Hotel Medan, North Sumatra.
The athletes will compete for 21 gold medals from 21 categories or match numbers. The 21 match numbers in Dancesport Sports include mixed numbers Amateur Latin, Amateur Standard, Rising Star Latin, Rising Star Standard, Pre Amateur Latin, Pre Amateur Standard, FFA Cha Cha, FFA Rumba, FFA Samba, FFA Jive, FFA Waltz, FFA Tango, FFA Quickstep, FFA Slowfoxtrot. Then the Breaking Boy men's competition, Breaking Girl women's competition. Then open competition numbers Syncronize Waltz Quickstep, Line Dancesport Rumba Samba, Line Dancesport Cha Cha Jive, Hip Hop and Traditional Dance.
Dance students won a silver medal in dance sport. Tiara Lestari Pasaribu, a student of the Dance Department, paired with Rahmad Hidayah, an alumnus of the Dance Department, won a silver medal in the traditional dance competition category. In addition, Angela Advertia Nugroho also won a silver medal in the FFA Waltz (free for all) competition category, Dance Sport. One of the Dance Department alumni Denta Dwiseptyansah also won a gold medal in the Traditional Dance sport.
