FGD of Photography Study Program FSMR ISI Yogyakarta Designing Entrepreneurial Strengthening for Students

Yogyakarta, September 11, 2024 - The Photography Study Program of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta again shows its commitment in supporting student development through a student entrepreneurship program. This activity took place at Gallery Prawirotaman Hotel for one day and presented three resource persons who are experts in the field of entrepreneurship and the creative industry: Agung Priyo Wicaksono, Y. Sri Susilo Wirodiharjo, and Talchah Hamid. All three shared their knowledge and experience on the importance of entrepreneurship in today's global era.

The student entrepreneur design FGD aims to improve students' understanding of the business world, especially in identifying market opportunities and effective marketing strategies. Agung Priyo Wicaksono conveyed the importance of motivating students to make entrepreneurship a serious career choice. "Doing business early on provides long-term benefits, especially when students have graduated and have their own source of income," he said. In addition, he emphasized the importance of smart marketing communication to attract customers.

Meanwhile, Y. Sri Susilo Wirodiharjo spoke of the importance of changing the mindset young generation to be more risk-taking and creative in their thinking. According to him, entrepreneurship training not only teaches how to do business, but also trains "out-of-the-box" thinking in facing challenges and opportunities. "Students will learn to manage risks, marketing strategies, and resource management needed to build a sustainable business," he explained.

Talchah Hamid closed the session with material on the development of photography in the digital era. According to her, innovation is the key to success in the photography industry. "Photographers are now not only required to take pictures, but also to produce creative content such as videos and other visual works," she said. With this knowledge, students are expected to develop entrepreneurial potential and utilize digital technology to succeed in the photography business. The results of the FGD will later be used as input for the Photography study program in strengthening independent student entrepreneurship. (Tinm PKKM FT)
