The Embassy of Peru and the Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR) ISI Yogyakarta collaborated to organize a performance entitled Shipibo-Konibo: Portraits of My Blood from September 10 to 23, 2024, at Geleri Pandeng FSMR ISI Yogyakarta. The exhibition will feature photographs by Peruvian photographer David Díaz Gonzales. The opening of the cast was held on September 10, 2024, in the Audio Visual Room FSMR ISI Yogyakarta, at 15.00 WIB and was attended by the Peruvian Ambassador to Indonesia Luis Tsuboyama, students, invited guests, the Dean and Heads of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts.
The cast of Shipibo-Konibo: Portraits of My Blood will feature 25 black and white photographs by David Díaz Gonzales. It will invite the audience to enjoy not only the black and white images but also the culture and history of Peruvian society. Peruvian Ambassador to Indonesia Luis Tsuboyama said David Díaz Gonzales as a photographer tries to narrate the culture and history of Peruvian society in the photos on display.
On the same occasion Dr. Edial Rusli, M.Sn., Dean of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta expressed his gratitude for the offer made by the Ambassador of Peru to organize a joint exhibition. From organizing this joint exhibition, it is hoped that other collaborations will be born.
