50 Students of Photography Study Program FSMR ISI Yogyakarta Join Internship and Independent Study PKKM

Photography Study Program FSMR Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta by deploying 50 students to take part in an internship and Independent Study program in the framework of the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM). This deployment was carried out between August 29 and September 1, 2024. This program aims to provide real experience in the world of work while preparing students to face future challenges.

One of the partners that became the implementation of this internship program was Keewa Shoes, where students were welcomed directly by Dani Ika Suryandari, Owner of Keewa Shoes. In addition, other partners who also support this program include the DIY Cooperative and UKM Office, Jonas Foto, File Academy, Westlake Resort, and Greenhost Boutique Hotel.

The internship program at Keewa Shoes, as one of the featured partners, not only focuses on the application of photography knowledge learned on campus, but also integrates elements of student idealism with the needs of the commercial market. Students are given the opportunity to engage in various activities, such as product observation by understanding Keewa's brand DNA, market analysis through observation of social media and consumer behavior, and solid team collaboration in creating visual content that is aligned with Keewa's identity.

In addition, students also have the opportunity to develop other skills relevant to the world of work, including digital marketing, marketing strategy, business strategy, advertising, and branding communication. Thus, through this internship program, students are expected to gain not only photography knowledge but also additional skills that can prepare them to enter the workforce more prepared and entrepreneurial.

As part of the Kampus Merdeka Competition Program, students who take part in these internships and independent study activities will get 10-20 credits converted, which is an added value in their academic journey.
